New Company Offers Services Critical to Entrepreneurial Success
Dilts Strategy Group Announces Its Success Factor Modeling Process for Emerging Growth Companies
BURLINGAME, CALIFORNIA, MARCH 7, 2000 - At a time when venture dollars flow freely to emerging growth companies, particularly in the technology sector, many company founders and key employees still fall short in focusing on the necessary behavioral skills and strategies that promote long-term success. Addressing these issues, Dilts Strategy Group ("DSG"), a new venture catalyst company founded by experts in management training, behavioral modeling and venture funding, has unveiled a new methodology to provide the training and skills as well as the resources and relationships necessary for success.
Called the Success Factor Modeling ("SFM") process, this unique approach to competency building is designed to identify and apply the critical behavioral success factors and skills necessary to promote effective growth and development while enhancing the value of emerging growth technology companies. As part of its overall offering, the company will host the "Critical Success Factors for Emerging Growth Companies" seminar April 3-5, 2000, in South San Francisco, CA.
"With the tools of the Success Factor Modeling process, it is possible to define and explore some specific models, principles and skills that will allow entrepreneurs to be more successful leaders and managers," said Robert Dilts, Dilts Strategy Group co-founder. "Our goal, with all the resources of DSG, is to provide start-ups and existing organizations with the skills and tools they need to create a successful business model, increase their valuation, build
strategic partnerships and position their company for future growth."
Dilts Strategy Group Components
The company's strategy is to offer entrepreneurs the proven behavioral skills and tools needed to build a strategic foundation for future growth, including creativity, visionary leadership, planning and team building. DSG will also provide insight and coaching on how to apply these skills and knowledge in order to attract investors and how to step out of their own perspective and into that of an investor.
"All of these elements are often overlooked by start-ups who focus solely on their technology and the market opportunities, said John Dilts, a Dilts Strategy Group co-founder who has advised numerous technology start-ups both from a Board level and as a consultant.
They forget the importance of showing investors, business partners and ultimately customers, they have what it takes on a personal level to build a successful and profitable company,"
DSG is a unique "next generation" venture catalyst firm, providing companies with a powerful set of value-add resources. These include:
- Seminars, Conferences, Coaching - events synthesizing both seminar and investor presentation format, including instruction, modeling, investor presentations and panelist feedback. These events provide the opportunity for both learning and implementation of valuable skills for effective entrepreneurship. Individual consulting services are also available.
- Online resources for entrepreneurs, including specially designed software tools.
- Access to DSG's network of global corporate relationships -- includes resources and services for companies needing referrals to investors, law firms, accounting firms, recruiters, website developers and financial institutions, among others.
- International network -- DSG associates and affiliates who assist in the development and success of emerging growth technology companies.
- Dilts Technology Fund, L.P.--a $50 million venture fund focused on early stage investments in pre-IPO technology companies. The Fund is currently being raised by DSG's founders to provide companies with much needed "angel" stage as well as venture stage funding.
