About Robert Dilts
Robert Dilts has been a developer, author, trainer and consultant in the field of Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) since 1975. In addition to spearheading the applications of NLP to organizational development, learning, creativity and health, his personal contributions to the field of NLP include much of the seminal work on the NLP techniques of Strategies and Belief Systems.
Robert is the principle author of Neuro-Linguistic Programming Vol. I, and has authored (or co-authored) numerous other books on a variety of applications of NLP including: health (Beliefs: Pathways to Health and Well Being), creativity (Tools for Dreamers, Skills for the Future and Strategies of Genius), modeling (Modeling With NLP) and belief change
(Changing Belief Systems with NLP and Sleight of Mouth). Visionary Leadership Skills, draws from Robert's' extensive study of historical and corporate leaders to present the tools and skills necessary for "creating a world to which people want to belong." Modeling with NLP covers the principles and distinctions for modeling the behavior of exceptional people, illustrating the application of NLP modeling procedures to the study of effective leadership ability. His recent work Sleight of Mouth describes the set of verbal reframing patterns he developed to conversationally influence beliefs.
Recognized internationally as one of the foremost developers, trainers and practitioners of NLP, Mr. Dilts has done consulting and training throughout the world to a wide variety of professional groups and organizations. Past sponsors and clients include Apple Computer, Alitalia, Lucasfilms Ltd., and The American Society for Training and
Development. He has lectured extensively on NLP, making presentations
and keynote addresses for The European Forum for Quality Management, The
World Health Organization, and Harvard University. Dilts was head of an
extensive study of leadership skills and creativity for Fiat, and a
project with the State Railway of Italy involving organizational
learning and communication skills for trainers, instructors and
presenters. He has developed a certification program for NLP and
systemic thinking skills for the management development group of IBM
Europe, and supervised the design of Tools for Living, the behavior
management portion of the program used by Weight Watcher's
International.
Robert has been a founder or co-founder of a number of successful NLP
based professional organizations and companies including NLP
University, The Dynamic Learning Center, The Academy of Behavioral
Technology, The Institute for the Advanced Studies of Health, Behavioral Engineering and NeuroLink International.
Robert completed the Encyclopedia of Systemic NLP with Judith DeLozier in the Fall of 1999.
